Sweet Seasonal Cinnamon Swirls

1st recipe on the blog, and one of many I hope! 🙂

Around this time of year I tend to drink more Chai Lattes and enjoy cooking and eating more the likes of comfort food and cinnamon swirls are a family favourite and it’s so quick and easy to make that I couldn’t help but share with you!

You will need;

320g Ready rolled puff pastry

2 Tablespoons of apricot jam

1 Teaspoon of cinnamon

2 Teaspoons of sugar

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220C, 200 degrees and grease a baking tray

2. Roll out the puff pastry so that it is flat on the work surface and spread the two tablespoons of apricot jam on it

3. When there is an even layer, mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl or ramekin dish and dust evenly over the jam

4. Slice the pastry into 3 parts on the short edge, then in half lengthways-you should have 6 squares. Cut these squares diagonally and you’ll end up with 12 squares. Roll each triangle corner to corner

5. Put in the oven for 10 minutes

6. Once golden and crispy, take out the oven and leave to cool for 5-10 minutes

Enjoy! 🙂
